Australian duo The Aston Shuffle just closed out one of their most successful summers in the Southern Hemisphere, thanks to the breakout success of their last single Tear It Down, from the sophomore full-length Photographs. They’re set to cross the equator and do it all over again with Back & Forth featuring Elizabeth Rose, and LessThan3 is thrilled to share the exclusive premiere of Lunde Bros’ (pictured) remix of the track.
The original mix of Back & Forth is a vocal-driven house track co-written by Rose, but she’s almost totally absent from Lunde Bros’ remix–until we reach the track’s plaintive breakdown, where her spiraling hooks carry that much more weight as a result of their conservative application. The Bros add some tasteful electro grooves to the mix, but maintain a laid-back mood equally suited to lazy days at the beach and steamy nights in the club adjacent.
The Aston Shuffle’s Back & Forth remix pack is out June 27, and also features cuts from Minorstep, Playmode, Just A Gent and more.
