Most of you probably know Plastik Funk from their massive hit with Tujamo, Who, which has garnered significant play from the likes of Avicii and Guetta (nbd). Tomorrow, the duo rolls out their latest rump-shaker, Need Somebody, and we’ve got the exclusive first listen for you right here.
Plastik Funk come from a veritable hodge-podge of cultural influences, as Rafael (pictured, left) is from Madrid and Mikio (pictured, right) is from Tokyo, and they both now live in Germany. The Spanish influences are the most apparent Need Somebody, as Latin brass and syncopated rhythms create for a track that will probably make you want to form a conga line in the club.
Can’t get enough of their infectious sound? They’re currently on an international fall tour with several US dates–check them all out here.
