PREMIERE: Daniel Dubb – Float (Original Mix) [Rejected]
Daniel Dubb - Float (Original Mix) [Rejected]

With love from artists Maya Jane Coles, Nic Fanciulli, and Joris Voorn, not to mention releases on respected labels like Suara, and Toolroom, Toronto’s Daniel Dubb is an underground producer with aboveground talent. As he gears up for the release of his forthcoming LP, Pieces Of The Past, Dubb has revealed a new single titled Float, and LessThan3 has the exclusive premiere.

Like its name suggests, Float is a smooth and silky house groove that slowly builds up before an infectious piano loop sweeps you off your feet. A similar bit of brilliant piano play won over everyone in 2011 when Dubb released the Beatport #1 smash Sinnerman. Float is one of those songs that you just have to dance to, a testament to the Candian’s talents.

Daniel had this to say about Float:

“While most of the album is expressive of hardships I have been through, as well as people who are no longer with me, Float is actually written and inspired by a friend who came into my life during one of the more trying moments in the last few years. It is one of the more club-ready cuts off the album, and one I have been playing a lot in my live sets to great reaction.”
