Most of us know LT3 favorite Andrew Bayer as the man who makes some of the more avant garde sounds in electronic music, with tracks ranging from deep progressive to glitch hop. This time, Andrew Bayer has broken off a piece of that big room cake for us with the high-energy Mirth Mobile, and we’ve got the exclusive first stream of the track in its entirety here for you on LessThan3.
Perhaps it’s because Bayer has been playing a lot more live gigs lately (like ABGT050 in London) that he decided to go a bit more toward the hard sound that EDM crowds eat up these days, but we’re sure glad he did. With a bassline that would make Benassi proud coupled with his ever-present sense of musicality, Mirth Mobile is likely to be the high point of any Bayer set for many months to come. Pick up Mirth Mobile on Beatport when it releases Nov. 11 on Anjunabeats, along with A-side Perth.
