Moby has been relevant for quite some time now, and has no intention of letting up after releasing a new studio album called Destroyed this past year. To celebrate his accomplished career, Dutchman Joris Voorn has decided to give his spin on After from said album. Released recently on Joris’ Rejected label, After The After is a jazzy, soulful groove that takes the original, an electronica hit in its own right, and reworks it into a proper lounge jam.
The track has been climbing up the Beatport Top 10 chart, with its current ranking at #8. This bit taken from the track’s Beatport page does a nice job of explaining the heart of the track: “[A track with] club sensibility with rolling bass and punchy beats. Instilling his unique feel for dancefloor-funk, the Dutchman adds plenty of soul to remix, leading the original away from its darkened edge and into the light.” Couldn’t have said it better myself.
