In less that a year, Philip George has gone from unknown bedroom producer to one of the hottest names in dance music thanks to the massive success of his Stevie Wonder-sampling debut Wish You Were Mine. Included on our list of Top Artists To Watch In 2015, the Nottingham producer seems poised to continue his rapid rise to the top with his sophomore single, Afraid To Love.
George’s latest is a hook-heavy vocal house anthem stuffed with everything that makes the style popular–big pianos, funky rhythms, and a sing-along vocal. It follows a similar formula to his breakout single and, like his previous release, it is an infectious track that you will find yourself listening to over and over again.
Although there is no release date yet, Liverpool-based 3Beat–the independent label who discovered George–has made the full track available through Philip’s SoundCloud. One thing is for sure, with major slots at EDC UK and Creamfields ahead of him, this one is going to be a massive summer anthem before it even hits the stores.
