Officials released the three-day schedule for 2014’s Outside Lands Music And Arts Festival today, which spreads the electronic music thin and mostly onto Saturday and Sunday’s lineups.
After Disclosure finishes their OSL debut Friday on the Land’s End stage, dance music fans will be forced to pick between Kanye West and the Arctic Monkeys (or an early exit) on Friday. By comparison, the Twin Peaks stage is significantly less electronic-focused, as is the festival on the whole, than it was during last year’s de facto dance-topia presided over by the likes of A-Trak, Pretty Lights, Kaskade, and more. A-Trak will encore last year’s blistering Twin Peaks set in the form of a Duck Sauce performance on Saturday. We’re going to recommend a bit of Gorgon City at the Heineken stage beforehand as well. Boys Noize will be the go-to closer Saturday night at the Panhandle Stage, and Tiësto will be taking the place of Kaskade’s festival-closing set on Sunday night at Twin Peaks, competing with The Killers on the main stage.
