The Armada name is a byword for decent trance music nowadays, especially when it comes to the Armind imprint and their stable of established, forward-thinking artists. One such name is Omnia, the young Ukrainian producer who has become a solid presence on the label thanks to tracks like his latest release, Tomorrow People–dedicated to Tomorrowland, but bound to send waves across the rest of the world.
It’s a bold track, one that borders on experimental at times, but it’s out and out trance at its core. What really makes Tomorrow People jump out from the crowd are the big breakbeat style builds–massive, dirty synth stabs and pushy drum beats carefully intertwined with beautiful breaks reminiscent of Omnia’s previous works. It does drop into your traditional beat, but only for about 20 seconds–certainly a brave move, but that’s exactly why the likes of Omnia are right at the top of their game.
Tomorrow People is out now on Beatport.
