Porter Robinson shares one of the most hotly anticipated items on his forthcoming Worlds Remixed album, the ODESZA (pictured) take on Divinity.
ODESZA’s signature atmospheric approach to the lead-off track opens slow with a hip hop beat crafted from the duo’s immaculate percussion. The arrival of tight hi-hats sees the track climax into a luminous future bass affair rich with the scattered vocal phrases of Amy Millan and walls of synth that altogether bears in mind the sudden punchiness of the original while maintaining an overall composure.
ODESZA’s take follows those by Mat Zo on Flicker and Galimatias on Sea Of Voices. The Worlds Remixed album is out Oct. 2. Pre-order here and get instant copies of Zo and Galimatias.
