Nicky Romero is mixing things up with his latest release Feet On The Ground, teaming up with singer/songwriter and compatriot Anouk, who provides some explosive vocals and a rock-infused sound that meshes surprisingly well within a big room house track.
Anouk’s influence runs throughout, with her hard-hitting and lively vocal style that is slightly reminiscent of Florence Welch. Anouk’s position as Holland’s self-styled queen of rock really shines through in the build, with some heavy-hitting drums and distorted guitars intertwining with some crazy acid lines and huge synth sweeps. The drop is full-on Romero, with a catchy big room riff and an energy that just begs to be pounded out at a major festival. It’s an environment where Feet On The Ground is sure to shine too–it’s got “summer smash” written all over it.
