Renowned for his Global Underground mixes, his famed residency at Cream, and his collaboration with fellow Bristolian Jody Wisternoff as Way Out West, Nick Warren is part of a handful of true veterans within the dance music profession. After such an accolade-filled career one would think there isn’t anything left for Mr. Warren to accomplish; yet after 20 years comes his first solo two-CD outing.
The first CD contains a more stripped-down, ambient and downtempo feel, while the second CD is a snapshot of where he is today as a DJ. Since his last Renaissance outing in 2001, his sound has transformed, while his knack for progressing forward remains leaps and bounds ahead of his peers. The mix flawlessly flows between progressive techno and deep, melodic house, before it crescendos into a blissful, trancey ending.
