Eric Prydz, the king of progressive house, has announced a new residency at LiFE in Las Vegas. The kick-off will have Prydz playing back-to-back nights as he’s booked to play Sept. 13 as Prydz and Sept. 14 under his deeper, darker Cirez D alias. His Cirez D set will be the first in a new series at the club called “Underground Sundays,” LiFE’s official industry party which will supposedly be programmed with non-commercial DJs.
The announcement of Prydz’ residency at LiFE comes after a series of other massive announcements from the artist’s camp. On Aug. 24 Prydz gave away two Cirez D tracks for free. Then, just three days following the music giveaway, HARD’s Day of the Dead lineup dropped, revealing Prydz would be playing a b2b set with deadmau5, as well as helping curate a stage at the festival. Prydz is also bringing his EPIC (Eric Prydz In Concert) series, which features holographic imagery, to Madison Square Garden later this month. With so much going on, the legendary artist is definitely setting himself up to end 2014 with a bang.
