The Mau5 Man’s latest progressive venture, The Veldt (official video below), has just been remixed by newcomer PIXL. PIXL’s first break came when he won the remix contest for Kaskade’s Raining. Since then, the young guy has been busy at work remixing other huge artists, both officially and with an array of bootlegs. Let’s see what his latest remix has to offer.
There is no doubt that the original of The Veldt was extremely progressive. Dreamy, euphoric, and dancing, the synthesizers tugged on the heart strings of all its listeners. PIXL comes in and builds off the same formula–give ‘em the same emotionality of the original, but add in some stellar-sounding synths and big room kicks to make it more of a dancier track. PIXL does a good job of not straying too far from the beaten path, but definitely makes it his own. You best keep your eye on this guy. Here’s the link to the free download!
