My Early Morning Playlist
Vaults - Cry No More
STRFKR - Golden Light (Skeletron Mix)
Bodhi - Imperfection [Future Classic]
CHVRCHES - The Mother We Share (Moon Boots Remix)

I feel this list is pretty straightforward. The sun just came up, I haven’t slept, and I still want more music. For everyone else, this should make for some awesome breakfast music. Nothing too heavy here, just a solid dose of chilled-out indie electronica. Simply throw on a nice pair of headphones, kick back, and relax.

Henry Green – Electric Feel (Gespleu Downcast Edit)
A beautiful and stunning take on the (dare I say it?) modern classic. The plodding, methodical beat and heartwarming guitar combine with the unforgettable vocals to create the perfect end-of-summer vibe. Close your eyes and you can almost feel the ocean breeze.

Vaults – Cry No More
Cry No More is a slow-burning, haunting pop masterpiece. I’ve never heard of Vaults before, but I’ll not soon forget the name. Touching and sophisticated, this is a magic in audio form. Wow.

STRFKR – Golden Light (Skeletron Mix)
My goodness this track is delicious. STRFKR, under the moniker Skeletron, remixed their own track Golden Light, and the result is both golden and illuminating. Featuring vocals from Eastern philosopher Alan Watts, the song is a trip in and of itself. The Skeleton Mix appears on the group’s Golden Light 12″ release which is only available for purchase on the band’s current tour.

Bodhi – Imperfection
Sydney-based label Future Classic, the home of LT3 favorite Flume, returns with Imperfection by Bodhi. It’s an infectiously groovy and sexy piece of downtempo nu disco that will have you dancing until the sun comes up (believe me). Preorder the 12″ here.

CHVRCHES – The Mother We Share (Moon Boots Remix)
CHVRCHES’ best known song (and a personal favorite of mine) gets a fantastic disco-infused remix courtesy of Moon Boots. Download it for free right here.
