With so many producers out there who know how to construct epic basslines, you’ve gotta be pretty confident with a name like Bassjackers, right? Lucky for us, the name was taken by a Dutch duo back in 2007, and they specialize in fat beats. Bassjackers first caught our eye back in August when Proto posted their Dutch house gem Clifton. A few months later they delivered their crazy collaboration with Partysquad known as Showrocker. Now they’re back again with a big electro number that’s been tearing down dancefloors for months.
Mush, Mush is not just a welcome relief from standard trumpet-touting Dutch house–it’s also big-room electro done right. The melody, though not bad, is mostly filler for the main attraction: those massive drops. Tried and tested by Benny Benassi at Ultra Music Festival and overwhelmingly approved by the massive crowd, it was easily one of the most intense moments I witnessed at the main stage during the first day of festivities. The undulating electro buzz of the track is accented by a steady stream of heavy 4/4 kick that’ll have you wishing you were at your next massive!
