Paxahau’s Movement Electronic Music Festival has announced the phase one lineup for its 2015 outing, set to take place Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25 inside Detroit’s Hart Plaza.
This will be the festival’s tenth anniversary, and the three-day event will once again feature a wide spectrum of up-and-comers, local talent, trailblazers, and pioneers in techno, house, and hip hop, including headlining performances by Richie Hawtin, Snoop Dogg as DJ Snoopadelic, and Skrillex and Boys Noize as Dog Blood. Disclosure will make their Movement debut and perform alongside some of their favorite acts for their traveling Wild Life showcase.
“This year’s lineup is a diverse group of legends, underground heroes and rising talent who have all been inspired by Detroit and its musical legacy at some point in their career,” says Paxahau’s Artist Coordinator, Chuck Flask. “We’re very excited to have the likes of Loco Dice, Dixon, DJ Snoopadelic, Carl Craig, Dog Blood, Disclosure and many local favorites, performing in the heart of the city we love most, on Memorial Day weekend.”
Movement Detroit takes place every Memorial Day weekend inside Hart Plaza–Detroit’s legendary riverfront destination. The festival features six outdoor stages, more than 100 artists, dozens of official afterparties, an interactive technology center featuring the hottest gear in the industry, and multiple art displays. Over 100,000 people attended the 2014 festival.
