Details surrounding Madeon’s debut album surfaced this week, and after having introduced himself to an all-new fanbase as Lady Gaga’s tour DJ and collaborator on Artpop, the prodigious producer will proceed with his push into the pop world.
The “pop fan at heart” told MTV News that his forthcoming LP won’t be made for the festival scene necessarily, and despite his domination of dance music, he’s excited to expand his scope to the “worlds of radio and charts.”
I started working on my album and I’m gonna spend a good chunk of next year working on my album as well… It’s a nice toe in the water to see what the other side of the world beyond electronic music is like, ’cause ultimately I just want to do an album that people listen to at home and enjoy, not just in the club.
Madeon, real name Hugo Leclercq, said Gaga was his number-one choice for collaborative projects, and he’d also like to dabble in hip hop and rock with names like Kanye West or The Killers. No more details are available at the moment, but check back soon as we pen this one into the list of massive albums coming sometime next year.
