For our latest release on LessThan3 Recordings we welcome the talents of German producer Faust, who brings some hypnotic techno to the label with his debut EP, Triton.
With three tracks on offer, it’s clear Faust has a natural flair when it comes to production. The title track Triton is a brooding, acid-laden journey offset by bright synth flourishes. Bipolar is a darker, more sinister effort, with the odd piano motif and ’80s-style synth arpeggios. Rounding things off is Helios, a more minimal piece driven by sinister string stabs and tiny dancing synth lines. Each track would have it’s own place in a set, but all conjure images of strobe-lit dancefloors in abandoned industrial landscapes–the very environment and vision from which German techno was born.
With support already from the likes of Ferhplay, you can be sure Faust has a strong future ahead of him, so grab your copy of the Triton EP now.
