Chicago-based production duo Louis the Child (pictured) transforms Blasé; the woozy Ty Dolla $ign, Future, and Rae Sremmurd collaboration; into a charmingly futuristic and bass-driven pop winner.
In replacing the original track’s minor-key keyboard melody with a stentorian lead synth, Louis the Child refreshes Blasé for peak dancefloor consumption. Ambient synths in the higher register of the mix pair with a more pronounced trap-as-EDM break in the lower end to give the production a sturdier structure that allows for the track to play easier alongside future bass in big room sets. A case in which dance possibly beats rap, the Louis the Child version of this track is so well executed that it could quite easily pass for the original take.
