Over the past few months, Swedish producer John Dahlback has been on a Middle Eastern stint, releasing tracks such as Pyramid, Sfinx, and most recently, Kairo. Not sure what it was that inspired the seasoned producer to go in this direction, but the EDM community is always thirsty for more ethnic instrumentals, and Dahlback delivers crisply!
With a heavy tribal beat and incredibly original synth lines, Dahback uses Kairo to prove that he and his record label, Mutants Records, are prominent forces in the world of house music. Kairo is one of those tracks that I know I’ll never hear enough times in clubs, not because it isn’t popular, just because it never gets old.
Also check out Dahlback’s recent remix of Massimo Massivi’s debut single Hands Up. Dahlback ditches most of the Eastern sounds here for a more playful, Dutch feel, proving that he’s got not just incredible talent, but range as well.
