If you have great taste in house music, then you know who Fred Falke is. Chances are if you know who Fred Falke is, then you are also a fan of high-octane, fist-pumping tunes. That’s what he gives us in his latest venture with The Knocks. It’s titled Geronimo, probably because it’s the equivalent of the rush of free-falling from a 1,000 foot drop. I’ve always been entertained with Fred Falke’s feel-good blend of jubilant synth lines and bumping bass. This track follows a similar formula.
Geronimo is the perfect track for summer–full of youthful energy, big room kicks, and anthemic, hands-in-the-air lyrics. Falke’s mastery of production is evidenced by chords of rocking electro and perfectly layered sound effects. The lyrics are perfect in their own way–ferocious, yet inviting. The release also has some great remixes. Louis La Roche adds his own unique take on the track, infusing it with trance elements in the buildups and colorful disco synthesizers to add in flavor–an A+ remix if you ask me. Aylen takes the original big room banger and makes it even bigge. Just listen to that intro! One huge buildup followed by an even bigger drop. Aylen’s remix is my personal favorite, but they’re all great in their own right. Get this release while it’s hot!
