From time to time, a new producer emerges on the scene with a production style so advanced that he or she could easily be mistaken for a seasoned veteran. Such is the case with Israeli drum & bass producer Lisp and his debut single on E-Motion Records called Feel It Coming. Although the fledgling producer is not new to the dnb scene, this single certainly represents his most significant release to date. Feel It Coming made massive waves when it was debuted on the Claudio Fiore radio show back in August, and now everyone from Crissy Criss to Matrix & Futurebound are rinsing the track on a regular basis.
The Prototypes also threw it in to their mixed set for Shogun Audio Podcast 34 back in mid-November, preceded by an appearance on Slime’s E-Motion mixed set in October which can be found here for free.
Feel It Coming is as anthemic as dnb comes, with an abrasive, pitch-shifting lead synth and a filter-modulated bottom-end. Lihot supplies the ravey vocals–a seductive counterpoint to the composition’s aggressive overtones. E-Motion artist Intraspekt provides the remix on the AA-side, giving the tune a complextro arrangement with a liberal serving of chopped sequences from the original mix and a jungle-styled bassline.
