Norwegian producer Lido has opened up his wallet and graciously donated a stunning new music video for his 2014 breakout hit Money.
Directed by Jam Sutton (who has also directed videos for artists like Steve Aoki and Azealia Banks), the artfully crafted music video is a montage of decadence and despair. Featuring massive mansions filled with gold-plated guns, burning skulls, and tables of half-eaten fast food meals, Sutton’s video provides a fitting visual for Lido’s tenacious trap tune. Ending with a shot of a lone skull inscribed with a quote from Alexandrian poet Claudian: “OMNIA MORS AEQUAT” (Death renders all equal), Lido’s video preaches the age-old anthem that no matter how hard you might try, you can’t take it with you.
Money comes from Lido’s I Love You EP, featuring additional singles I Love You, Pts. 1 & 2 and Lost featuring Muri. Watch the video for Money below. You can pick up Lido’s I Love You EP over on Beatport here.
