The Swiss group Leventina quickly burst on to the scene with a series of big remixes and originals a few months ago. Featuring a blend of melodic progressive house and hard-hitting electro, the duo achieved success online and seems primed for notice from mainstream EDM. If you’re a fan of Alesso or Axwell, these guys will be right up your alley.
Champagne Nights is their newest release, a two track EP following up on their successful single Right Or Wrong. The title track is a gritty, growling blend of electro and progressive house, part Nicky Romero, part Swedish House Mafia. I’d be shocked to not hear this one during one of the upcoming summer festivals. Leventina also has a serious hands-in-the-air banger with the second track on the EP, We Play House; it’s a huge rave-style anthem with a dark and filthy twist. I’ve also included their smash single Right Or Wrong, an uplifting big-room smash that combines progressive synths, a pounding bass line, and vocals that fit just right, helping the song soar to euphoric heights. There are talks of a full-length album by the end of the year, so keep your ears open and enjoy!
