Backed by Insomniac Events, Exchange LA is rapidly transforming into SoCal’s finest dance music destination. This last Friday, June 15th, the beautiful nightclub was popping off with Carl Cox spinning well into the morning. The sound quality was crisp, the vibe was classy, and just above our heads huge lasers were bouncing off mirrors all around the room. With a great crowd and superb production values, it’s no wonder this spot is earning a lot of buzz.
Opening for the night came one of LA’s fastest growing DJs, Trent Cantrelle, who started a nice bounce on the dancefloor by using a variety of funky tracks including a couple of his own–Night Like This and You Know Why. Later on a roar of excitement erupted when Carl Cox took to the decks, making it clear a legend had arrived. True to his reputation, he kept the energy flowing in the room by playing some of recent favorites, including the Onionz remix of The Player. There were even some diehards in the crowd who caught a double dose of Mr. Cox after his two-hour set at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas.
