SonicC’s not the only fella pumping bangers out of Miami. Relative newcomer Austin Leeds has jumped on the “trouse” bandwagon that Markus Schulz spoke about with Voodoo, and I’m sure that bandwagon is happy to have him on board. He also apparently has the ability to manipulate the weather, as his picture would have me believe, so… score there!
Featuring vocal samples from The Prodigy’s Voodoo People, this track is likely to be one of those tracks that you can’t listen to enough times. The uplifting nature of this track is addictive; just ask my stereo. One of my favorite elements of the track is the way he plays with the rhythm during the drop; he alters things ever so slightly in select phrases just enough to keep it interesting. That flute is pretty badass, too.
Spinnin’ Records can seemingly do no wrong these days, and they have scored another hit with Voodoo. The house, trance, and “trouse” communities would be wise to keep a close eye on both the artist and label behind this massive record.
