Starting your own label is not only an ideal channel for your own work, it’s also a great way to attract some new talent and put out some new and exciting music. Since 2004, that’s exactly what Lange Recordings have been doing. Across the years, the label has seen releases from Gareth Emery, M.I.K.E, Andy Moor, Pulser, and of course, Lange himself. To celebrate their 100th release, there’s a 20-track compilation out on August 19th, featuring some of the highlights from the past nine years. It’s worth picking up on its own, but there are also two remix packages to whet your appetite over the next month.
The first kicks off with a take on Lange’s own track Brandalism. Texas-based producer Noah Neiman is in fine form with an epic big-room trancer that retains the uplifting synth stabs of the original. Next up, Israeli duo Las Salinas provides a smooth and proggy remix of Ben Preston’s The Feeling Inside, the vocals of Susie beautifully complimenting the chilled synth pads. Finally, Steve Brian’s La Gomera is reworked by Tangle, the Colorado-based producer dishing out an uplifting yet progressive remix which features some fantastic breakbeats.
Out now as a Beatport exclusive, be sure to keep an eye out for Part 2, which is out on Aug. 12, followed by the 20-track compilation the week after.
