You’ll be hard-pressed to find somebody who will deny that Sander van Doorn is one of the hottest things in EDM these days. With countless appearances on nearly every trance radio show and being named one of the Arnej’s favorite Trance producers in a recent interview with LessThan3, it’s clear that Sander has had his way with the trance scene in the recent years. So what comes next? Progressive house, of course.
Re-released at the end of November is Sander’s beautiful remix of Yanou’s 2008 sultry electro-house gem King Of My Castle. A complete rework of the original, this track shows the vision of a master. I absolutely adore the ripple effect on the vocals early as well as in the middle of the track, but what’s to come in between and after is the real showcase here. The rolling melodies in this track are truly something to marvel at.
I don’t know whether Sander will go back to trance, continue with progressive, or move onto something completely different, but frankly, I don’t care. At this point I get the feeling that anything this guy releases I will be listening to over and over for some time to come.
