With his new EP More Than Anything, Graham Andrew has officially thrown his hat into the foray of big-room dubstep producers. This release will establish Graham as a top-tier producer; immensely talented and capable of crafting dubstep fire. His producer guise, KillaGraham, should henceforth be associated with monstrous bass, complex synth modulation, and sagacious musicality. Admittedly, KillaGraham has only been producing electronic music for a little over three years, but has been involved with music since he was a teenager growing up in North Carolina. As is common with many contemporary producers, KillaGraham started with turntables, mixing and scratching, but eventually found himself behind a keyboard in 2008. Two years later he would discover dubstep, and the rest is history.
The original mix of More Than Anything will undoubtedly increase this talented producer’s growing fanbase. There are simply too many things to love about this tune: an 8-bit lead synth, maddening synth wobbles, and Graham’s irresistible vocal with a generous helping of lush reverb. Big Fish Recordings has also included two house remixes to go along with KillaGraham’s original dubstep version. The first is a progressive rework from NYMZ and the second is more of an electro-progressive mashup with a hint of breaks by The Slag. Both remixes feature KillaGraham’s killer vocal, but the similarities end theree. More Than Anything is milestone in this young producer’s career and should earn this “killa” producer his just dues.
