Kill the Noise (pictured) continues to succeed at his attempts to bury all other soundbwoys with the premiere of Spitfire Riddim, a drumstep reggae bomb from his forthcoming album, Occult Classic.
Frequent Kill the Noise collaborator Madsonik works alongside the bass dean to craft a track that showcases superior skills in construction. For some, the desire to combine near-orchestral dub reggae with dirty drumstep and drum & bass would turn into a glitchy and largely unlistenable mess. However, in allowing the plaintive organic pieces to build and comfortably drop into booming madness is appreciated. Vocalist Twoton’s patois sped up and chopped over a hyper-speed percussive section of the track is particularly exciting and definitely punctuates the track as a fully formed, four-minute listening experience.
