Kaskade just never stops. In the last few months, he headlined the travelling Identity Festival, released some great singles and remixes, was voted America’s No. 1 DJ, and dropped an Essential Mix just last week. Just when you thought enough is enough, the laid back DJ releases his new single off his upcoming album.
Turn It Down demonstrates Kaskade’s affinity for big room, euphoric house music. Heart-warming synth falls over the intro like a blanket. As with any other Kaskade hit, the vocals are refined down to a vintage blend. Singers Rebecca and Fiona do a great job here–their voices are a bit deeper and less dreamlike than Haley’s or Mindy Gledhill’s, but they were a perfect selection for this track. I just can’t wait for the remixes! As a bonus, check out some footage of Kaskade and Steve Aoki playing a back-to-back set at Identity below.
