Summer is coming to a close. People will soon be trading in their bathing suits and beach chairs for sweaters and scarves. Kaskade gives a final farewell to the season of sun and helps us savor those last bits of summer with his new single Summer Nights.
Kaskade’s Summer Nights is a blinding bout of heated house vibes. We find the man longing for the days of his youth as his vocals swim in a sea swirling synth. The track is then carried off into the sunset by a wave of burning beats and sweltering basslines. According to Kaskade, Summer Nights was originally created for the Insomniac film Under The Electric Sky–which set out to document the fan experience through last year’s EDC Las Vegas festival. After letting it sit on his hard drive for a good seven months, Kaskade finally premiered the track at this year’s festival.
Playing a song that was made/written about an event while being at that event on that stage = crazy. I was smiling.— Kaskade (@kaskade) June 22, 2014
I mean summer nights been sitting on my hard drive since November - seemed right to play it last night.— Kaskade (@kaskade) June 22, 2014
