Joe Garston - You're So Cool (Original Mix) [Plasmapool]

When Joe Garston first dropped Top Of The World two years ago, it felt like a star was born. He soon signed to Plasmapool, the electro label that could do no wrong, and released hits like Forget About It and The Promise. Sometimes, however, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. His later releases in 2012 sounded a little too formulaic, and a little variation would have been welcomed. As if he read my mind, Garston opens the year with a new single, affectionately titled You’re So Cool.

Featuring uplifting synths, a memorable lead, and his signature electro sound, Garston crafts a peaceful yet energetic hybrid of progressive house and electro. On top of that, the soothing vocals and chimes are a nice counter to the turbo-charged drop and keep things fresh. You’re So Cool is an exciting release for the young Liverpudlian and reaffirms his spot on the “to-watch” list in electro. Pick up the song now on Beatport, and be cool.
