Anybody listening to A-Trak’s DJ sets lately may have heard Jack Beats’ latest electro house tune called Make the People. As part of a new series aptly named Dubs for Clubs, Make the People is one installment of a collection of unreleased dubplates that Jack Beats plans to distribute for free to their fans over the coming months. The entire series will be comprised of tunes both old and new that the duo has been regularly featuring in their DJ sets. Simply ‘liking’ Jack Beats on Facebook or visiting their SoundCloud page is all it take to get a hold of this electro-laced stormer.
Typically, Jack Beats is known for their two-stepping drum patterns and mixture of wobble-infused electro, and Make the People sticks closely to that formula. However, the drum pattern here is a little more house-friendly, featuring the conventional four-to-the-floor kick drum. The song is driven by a tearing lead synth that is modulated into a rhythmic pattern while breaking in and out of a half-time tempo. As always, the Londoners display their exemplary programming skills with this tune. Jack Beats will be releasing the next track in “Dubs for Clubs” series in the coming days, and if Make the People is any indication of the quality of this collection of songs, fans will be flooding JB’s Soundcloud page!
