After nearly 20 years of bringing the best in electronic beats to your ears via events like EDC and Beyond Wonderland, Insomniac Events is cutting out the middleman and opening its own record label in partnership with Interscope Geffen A&M, fittingly titled Insomniac Records.
Billboard reports that the first act signed to this newly established, highly recognizable imprint will be Russian super-producer Arty.
Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella shared some insight into the decision to go with IGA:
“The Interscope team has an unparalleled track record of success and I believe that with our combined efforts, Insomniac Records will launch the careers of undiscovered artists while also attracting established producers, allowing them to create music that the fans will love.”
As the first official “EDM” label at Interscope, Insomniac already has the skills to source talent–pinpointing musical ability is nothing new to the global event brand.
Arty’s full-length album will come via Insomniac Records later this year. Check out the preview of his next single featuring the vocals of Angel Taylor above.
