For the last few years, south London based
Hospital Records has been the definitive sound in drum & bass. It comes as no surprise then that our Top 15 Drum & Bass Tracks of 2012 chart is filled with Hospital artists such as Netsky, Metrik, S.P.Y, and Logistics.
Hospitality Drum & Bass 2013 marks Hospital’s third annual release and consists of an hour long continuous mix and 29 singles. All the songs are exquisitely produced and offer something unique and deserve attention. Of this eclectic selection, Culture Shock’s I Remember shines as upbeat and energetic, while Calyx & Teebee’s Elevate This Sound soothes you with its smooth flow and sultry lyrics. Digital Blues by Sub Zero is a track I’d define as a lesson in liquid progression. Finishing it up we have a video below for the big room sound of Fred V & Grafix’ Purple Gates.
Hospital Records continues to forge a path consisting of unadulterated amen breaks and bass low enough to rattle the picture frames off the wall. My neighbors won’t be happy.
