Sorry, DJ Roomba, but he’s too young to be your dad. Don’t worry, though. We’ll find him.
The hottest new thing to hit ski slopes didn’t drop out of high school to join the X Games, and it definitely isn’t melting the snow. Tahoe’s Heavenly Mountain Resort, the self-described wild child of Vail Resorts, recently announced the debut of its 12,000-watt snow groomer-turned-mobile DJ station.
Hitting the terrain for the first time since it was retired as a run-of-the-mill snow groomer, the Heavenly DJ Cat will debut Dec. 27 as the first-of-its-kind mobile mountain DJ booth.
A collaboration with Rat Runners Garage owner Aaron Hagar, the son of American rock musician Sammy Hagar, Heavenly’s DJ Cat boasts 52 speakers powered by QSC amps pushing out tunes from local and special guest DJs to enhance the riding experience. Three remote-controlled doors on the sides and roof open to reveal the booth and a 55-inch flat screen TV for visuals.
The Heavenly DJ Cat had its debut Friday, Dec. 27 at 1 p.m. at the Tamarack Lodge at the top of the Gondola with a special guest appearance by DJ Viola LaLa Mia. See video below.
