As you may have heard, HARD founder Gary Richards, aka Destructo, and Electric Daisy Carnival / Insomniac Events head-honcho Pasquale Rotella don’t like each other. Following Richards’ legal suit against Rotella, artists were forced to choose between performing at EDC or at HARD festivals, to the detriment of dance music fans everywhere. Now, only days before Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, it looks like one of HARD’s biggest names has crossed the picket line.
In a surprise announcement via Twitter, Dillon Francis has revealed that he will be playing the 4:30 – 5:30 a.m. slot on the final day of the festival.
I can finally announce that I'm playing @EDC_LasVegas on Sunday/Monday morning 😉— DILLON FRANCIS (@DILLONFRANCIS) June 15, 2015
According to the second Tweet above, which is a screenshot of the recently leaked EDC set times via the EDC app, our favorite taco lover is playing as a “Surprise Guest” on the cosmicMEADOW stage, the same stage that has historically been the HARD Stage. What this means for the remaining 89 names on the HARD Summer lineup remains to be seen, but hopefully this is the first hint of a reconciliation between the two industry heavyweights.
