Now before you say anything crazy about the famous Frenchman in the photo, please first listen to the completely insane Cazzette mix on this post. This “electrostep” version of David Guetta’s new hit Titanium goes off so hard, with dubsteppy breakdowns and dirty bass synths. The only thing I can compare such an extreme transformation of a pop track to is the Knife Party version of Save the World by the Swedish House Mafia.
Now that you hopefully survived that onslaught, let’s look at the rest of the release. David Guetta has really made an effort this year to get some solid tracks out to the EDM community following the release of his dual disc album Nothing But The Beat. With a new remix EP out for his single Titanium featuring the vocals of Australian pop singer Sia, he has continued to bring in some of the most respected names in the business to re-envision his music. He invited Holland’s Nicky Romero, whom he recently named the breakthrough DJ/producer of 2011. To put it succinctly, his remix is relentlessly aggressive and downright dirty. One more that is really worth checking out is Alesso’s. This had to be the perfect tune for him to remix, with Sia’s uplifting vocals meshing so well with his uniquely cheerful style of progressive house.
