Zedd’s rampage over the electro world continues, armed with a powerful array of electronic artillery. His first release off Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak Records, Dovregubben, has dominated the Beatport charts for weeks, reaching #1 on the electro house chart. Sampling the famous orchestral piece In the Hall of the Mountain King, Zedd is not the first electro artist to dive into Classical.
While perhaps not the most original idea, this is a track you simply can’t ignore. Zedd’s producing chops makes this track pop hard. It definitely hearkens back to some of Wolfgang’s classics, with its razor-sharp electro synths and fat kicks with a catchy twist. WIth a production quality that’ll send club speakers to new levels, Zedd’s knack for seamlessly integrating heavy bass and melody is a hallmark trait of other upcoming electro/dubstep stars like Porter Robinson, Uppermost, and of course, Skrillex.
