Grandtheft Releases Minimal Trap Ballad ‘Quit This City’
Grandtheft feat. Lowell - Quit This City (Original Mix) [Mad Decent]

Canadian producer Grandtheft has emerged as a lord of the emo-trap, and the title track–and second single–from his forthcoming Mad Decent EP release Quit This City does nothing to curb this growing reputation.

Similar to his massive take on Alesso’s Tove Lo-featuring single Heroes, the new release involves Lowell’s wistful female vocal, ethereal tones, and a growling, guttural and breaking bassline underpinning the whole production. On this track, however, Grandtheft has substituted euphoric builds and heavily filtered synths for a drier and more 8-bit take on the overall production.

Pre-order Grandtheft’s Quit This City EP ahead of Oct. 30 release date here.
