After monumental success on Pretty Lights Music, Slovenian producer Gramatik has announced a new beginning with the launch of a new label called Lowtemp. Bundled with this announcement is a free download of the appropriately named Bluestep, the first single off his upcoming album The Age Of Reason. The newly formed label will feature music from Gramatik himself, as well as friends of the producer. Gramatik speaks a bit more about his new album which is due out on Lowtemp in the Spring:
“[The Age of Reason] was inspired by a stand-up segment by comedian George Carlin. He made a joke on the fact that he was Catholic until he reached the age of reason. I also firmly believe that there comes a time in a human life when you reach the so-called ‘age of reason’ and realize that there are so many irrational beliefs, shameless contradictions and illogical restrictions inflicted upon society. Some people reach it sooner, others later, but a majority unfortunately never do. [Through my music] I’d like to guide more people to reach the age of reason sooner. Maybe. Or, hopefully at least unite the ones that feel the same way.”
Be sure to grab the free track while you can and see why this creation was named as such. The fusion of blues vibes, guitar work, & dubstep elements prove to continuously elevate Gramatik’s creative résumé. Don’t forget to also check out the video alongside the release which features a 2012 recap of festival & show footage from the US, Canada, Russia, Belgium & Austria.
