The lineup for the 33rd edition of The Glastonbury Festival has been announced, and there’s a heavy showing for dance music at one of the world’s largest music festivals.
Dance music fans will have their pick from the likes of deadmau5, The Chemical Brothers, Caribou, Flying Lotus, and Todd Terje, to name but a few. They’ll be playing alongside a wealth of musicians from all sorts of genres, with the top of the bill including Kanye, The Foo Fighters, Lionel Richie, and Motorhead.
Of course, despite the usual rumblings about the choice of headliners from the mainstream press, those in the know will be aware that Glasto is about far more than just the big names. Covering over 1000 acres and with a total population of over 200,000–which makes the site bigger than UK cities such as Oxford during the festival weekend–there’s endless things to see and do. With over 2000 performers, artists, and DJs, you can easily have a wild weekend without seeing a single big-name act.
The full line-up, including the hundreds of smaller acts, is yet to be announced, but most of the big names are on the poster below. If you’re after tickets though, you’ll have to act fast. The festival officially sold-out months ago, but a limited number of returned or cancelled tickets will be available via an extremely limited resale on Thursday April 16, and Sunday April 19. For all the details, see the Glastonbury website.
