Los Angeles-based duo Gladiator (pictured) has finally released their remix of Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood, arguably 2015’s most ubiquitous hit single. Flipping it to meet festival trap expectations, this track now has legs in the world of EDM, too.
In the rework, Early 2000s-style marching band percussion is clipped into half-time breaks to join forces with Swift’s tweaked vocals. As well, a warping electro swing provides a searing energy in the mix. In separating the metaphorical wheat from the chaff, this is a peak-hour champion of a track that streamlines the original and proves that while “band aids don’t fix bullet holes,” turning up just might do the trick.
