Fool’s Gold phenom Giraffage is gearing up for the debut of his No Reason EP on Nov. 18, but he’s starting the party a little early with a tour announcement and the release of a dog-friendly new track, titled Chocolate.
Named after the San Francisco producer’s pet chihuahua, Chocolate is the second single from Giraffage’s forthcoming EP. As he told Vogue about Chocolate, “This song is how I imagine he sees the world. There’s some frequencies in here that only dogs can hear.”
But don’t worry, there are still plenty of frequencies for us humans. Featuring a dreamy melody full of light synths and upbeat percussion, the track is a soothing cascade of beats and bass that’s become a beloved trademark of this consistently impressive artist.
Giraffage also announced a massive North American tour that begins in January and will feature support from Spazzkid and Pomo. Grab tickets when they go on sale Nov. 14, and check out iTunes to preorder No Reason and purchase Chocolate and Tell Me, the EP’s first single.
