Following an enticing build-up with three alluring singles, Berlin tech/house giant George FitzGerald has released his debut full-length album, Fading Love.
We initially learned of the upcoming LP on Feb. 25 via the Full Circle premiere on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. Crystallise was delivered next, complemented by a mesmerizing music video that seamlessly fuses intergalactic, psychedelic, and electronic elements into one–similar to the track itself. Call It Love is the most recent single, exemplifying the melancholy-ridden journey of a particular romance through FitzGerald’s amplifying chords and Lawrence Hart’s steadfastly somber vocals.
In regards to the April 27 album release, George FitzGerald conveyed a heartfelt message to fans via Facebook:
It feels surreal. The record was made with a great deal of love and care during a very unique period in my life, and I quite often thought I’d never finish or even scrap it.
A massive thank you to everyone involved in making the record but most of all thank you to the people supporting my music in any form, new and old. Without you I’d still be working a desk job, and making music at 4 am in my bedroom. So I hope the album goes some way to rewarding your faith in me.
