Vogue House | MikeQ & DJ Sliink – The B*tch (Original Mix) [Fade To Mind]
It’s been a minute since I heard a good voguing song, but I saw Kastle drop this gem at Audio in San Francisco on his tour with AMTRAC a few weeks ago and was instantly hooked. Vogue king MikeQ teamed up with Jersey club don DJ Sliink for this catty, bouncy gem that was released back in April on MikeQ’s on Fade To Mind label. Pick up The B*tch here.

House | 99 Souls – The Girl Is Mine (Beyonce vs Brandy & Monica) (Radio Edit) [Free Download]
Secretive UK duo 99 Souls make their official debut with the ménage à trois de les divas found in their Beyonce-Monica-Brandy-sampling house groove The Girl Is Mine, premiered first by Pete Tong on Radio1. Thick bass tones and enchanting vocal pitching carry the day for 99 Souls, who see great success flirting with R&B influences and G house while not straying too far from solid execution of a proven modern house recipe. Indie/Beats | John Mayer – Free Fallin’ (Loosid Remix)
Looking to kick back and relax to some chill vibes and eggnog this holiday season? Mysterious producer Loosid has delivered a deep, drowsy, and downtempo spin on John Mayer’s famous cover of Tom Petty’s 1989 classic. The results are hypnotizing. Grab the free download here.

Drum & Bass | Dusky – Yoohoo (LTJ Bukem Remix) [17 Steps]
Dusky’s recent hit Yoohoo was one of my favourites this year, and now it’s been remixed. I used to be partial to a bit of drum & bass, but drifted away from the genre a few years ago. This remix by d&b legend LTJ Bukem could certainly re-spark the love affair. Bukem made his name in the ’90s and his smooth, jazzy breakbeats are still alive and well here, a perfect match for the ’90s house feel of the original. Yoohoo (Remixes) is out now on Dusky’s own 17 Steps.

Eric Gossett
Hip Hop/R&B | Beyonce – 7/11 (Detail Christmas Version feat. French Montana)
With Jack U debuting their 7/11 remix at the OWSLA Christmas party, one of the track’s original co-producers, Detroit native Detail, also decided to release his remix of the Beyonce banger with the help of rapper French Montana. Detail, the man responsible for producing Jay Z and Beyonce’s monster hit Drunk In Love, tones down the intensity of the original while still maintaining the heavy feeling it exudes by adding in an extra piano arrangement and vocal number from French Montana.

R&B | Majid Jordan – All I Do [OVO Sound/Warner]
Majid Jordan, the production pair comprising Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman, entered the spotlight as co-producers of Drake’s Hold On, We’re Going Home and signees of Drake’s label, Ovo Sound. Since then, they have rightfully retained public attention with their undeniable musical talent, and personally, I can’t get enough of it. From the catchy Forever and the groovy All I Do to the smooth and sexy Her and A Place Like This, their entire EP is pure gold. Purchase it on iTunes here.

Future Bass | Trippy Turtle – Christmas In Jersey [Free Download]
There have been many Christmas downloads floating around in the last few days, but my favorite holiday download this year is from Trippy Turtle. It samples the unforgettable SNL skit with Justin Timberlake Dick In A Box and is as cheeky as all of Trippy Turtle’s productions. The track has enough bed spring effects to be iconically future bass, which has been a pivotal genre for 2014. To top it all off, he is giving away the remix, and you can grab your free copy here.

Indie/Beats | Oh Wonder – All We Do [MrSuicideSheep]
With all the rage around the kick drum and dropping the bass, I’ve found this tune to be particularly refreshing. I’ve never heard of Oh Wonder before, but this tune they’ve put out is beautiful. The male and female vocalists harmonize well with each other, and the use of the piano as a centerpiece is refreshing. For those fans of pure piano sounds, this is as good as it gets!
