The first time I heard Together Again, I thought I was maybe listening to a new David Guetta collaboration of some sort. Turns out I was wrong. Have a listen and I’m sure you’ll see why I thought that, though! It just has that Guetta signature sound that made his previous hits so successful. Well, it looks like someone is taking notice of how one becomes an incredibly rich and influential dance music king. Anyway–this track is by Mike Candys, a house producer and remixer from Switzerland. In recent years he has released some big tunes which have climbed the international music charts. For example, his collaboration with Jack Holiday, Insomnia reached No. 1 on the French Club Charts, and Rhythm Is A Dancer reached the top 10 in download charts on various dance music purchasing websites. I expect this track to follow suit.
The Swiss have something to rejoice over–this is one seriously massive club banger. It’s a track that could easily be played in all kinds of clubs, including the majority of crap-music, mostly top-40s-playing BS spots that many young adults frequent (sorry, guys–you know I love you). Some of you out there might say that this track is too commercial. Sure, it’s a little commercialized, but there is no denying that it is going to have dancefloors thumping all over. In reality, we need to accept that these kinds of songs are what are necessary as the bridge for the masses in the US to get exposed to this kind of music.
