From his phenomenal breakout album to his enchanting remix of Disclosure’s You & Me, Flume has emerged as one of Australia’s most diverse young talents. This week, he’s back with a collection of new and remixed tracks in Flume: Deluxe Edition.
The album is an extension of the 22-year-old beatmaker’s self-titled debut, with guest vocalists appearing on several original album tracks. Stand-outs include Change, featuring the alluring hip hop vocals of How To Dress Well, and Holdin On, a sensation the first time around, which is back with the rap talents of Freddie Gibbs.
There’s no shortage of quality new material either. Melodic single The Greatest View features heavy percussion mixed with soothing vocals from Isabella Manfredi of The Preatures. In addition to his new and enhanced tracks, Flume throws in a few extra goodies with third-party remixes of his songs as well as remixes he’s produced himself. It all comes together as a versatile blend of beats spanning several genres, proving that Flume’s earned his spot among this year’s top acts.
The re-release is available now for purchase on iTunes.
