FL Studio Finally Announced For Mac

In a long-awaited move, FL Studio–previously known as FruityLoops–will soon be available for Mac users after 16 years as a Windows-only DAW.

Developed by Image-Line since 1997, “Fruity” has built up a solid reputation as the standard piece of software for aspiring producers. From house and techno to trance to hip-hop, countless musicians across the past decade-and-a-half have started out with nothing more than a copy of FL Studio and a world of possibilities. Various producers even stick with the software when they hit the big time, showing that it isn’t just designed for the amateurs.

The exact details of OSX support in the upcoming version 12 aren’t 100 percent clear, but it’s certainly possible that Mac support could have a knock-on effect for sales of Apple’s own Logic software.
